Custom Smart Labels

Smart labels are labels that enhance the functionality beyond the printed label, usually by taking the consumer online to a specific website, or by showing more detailed information about the product with augmented reality.

These ‘smart labels’ can come in different forms like RFID tags, QR code labels, or Near Field communication (NFC). These labels require an electronic consumer device to ‘interact’ or read the smart label.

QR Codes

A simple example of this is a QR code, when the customer scans the code with their camera, it takes the consumer to a specific website with more information.

This new smart label technology can allow manufacturers to interact with their customers long after the final sale.
